Lyn Fleet - A Little About Myself

What can I tell you? Dogs are my passion in life!

I have lived with dogs for as long as I can remember. Currently, I have five; three of which I adopted from Dogs Trust in Huyton, Merseyside.  As you can see from their photos they are all gorgeous; but I am biased of course, like every other pet owner.

I set up in private practice nine years ago. To me, my job is the most interesting and satisfying in the world; I can think of nothing else I would rather do. Despite what people may think, my job is more to do with people; the animals are the easy bit!

On occasions, I participate in BBC Radio phone-in programmes regarding pet behavioural issues.

The books came about because there was, and still is, so much rubbish fed to owners about ‘dominance’ and ‘whispering’. I believe that owners deserve up to date information about dogs; how they learn and how they view life living with humans. Dogs deserve to be understood and not constantly labelled as ‘dominant’; secretly planning a hostile takeover of their home!
