Welcome to Lyn Fleet's Animal Behaviour and Dog Training
Website
Hi everyone, my name is Lyn Fleet and welcome to my website!
I am an Animal Behaviour Consultant based in Liverpool and work mainly in
the Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales areas. However, clients further afield can be offered an appointment in
one of my clinics.
I am a full member of the UK Registry of Canine Behaviourists, which has a strict
and accountable code of conduct.
My services are also used by Dogs Trust Merseyside and Freshfield Animal Rescue. Both these
organisations treat all their animals with kindness and respect and do not allow harsh handling or training
methods. It is only because they are confident in my abilities and expertise, that they are happy to invite me
to work with their dogs and owners.
Whilst theoretical knowledge of canine behaviour is undoubtedly required, this also needs to be
combined with ‘hands on’ practical experience. As I have both of these, you can be assured that you will
receive the best possible advice and treatment plan available for your pet.
Court work is something else I am experienced with; in particular, relating to the
Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. The most high profile case I was involved with was following the Merseyside Police ‘dog
amnesty’ of 2007; when I was called as the expert witness for the defence at Liverpool Magistrate Court. This
resulted in all 16 of the seized dogs having their destruction orders overturned and allowed to return to their
owners. I have also had involvement in subsequent cases that have reached court.
I run pet dog training classes in South Liverpool with my
friend and fellow trainer Helen Roberts. Click here to visit fast track dog
training with Lyn Fleet and Helen Roberts We are both full
members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Our aim is to help owners understand their dog and build a
non-confrontational relationship. Once this is established and they start working together as a team, training
specific exercises becomes a pleasure and not a chore. All family members are welcome, even well behaved
grandparents!
